whatta weekend!

Where to start~

Friday: I got off work, and headed out for dinner and a movie with James. We saw Underworld Evolution, and it was really good. If you like vampire movies or werewolf movies at all, I suggest that you see first Underworld, and then go see Underworld Evolution! All I can say is that I wish I was small enough to wear one of those leather suit things.... wow!

Saturday: Slept late... that may seem like a small thing to the rest of the world, but for me it is great! It was beautiful weather on Saturday Mid 70's to 80 degrees out. James suprised me and went grocery shopping for salad makings, so we had a lovely salad for lunch and then headed out for 18 baskets of disc golf!

Look of fierce competition!

His look is pretty fierce too!

We were pretty evenly matched the entire game!

The Putt!

We both went our seperate ways to clean up, but not for long! Saturday night I had dinner with James, Ruth and Andy, Larry, and one of James' friends Mike at Friday's. It was good food, and even better company! :)

Speaking of Larry.... Look what he did! WOW! I love it! Now that is karma! :)

Then everyone but Lar headed to this club called the Atlantic. It was not exactly my scene, but James really wanted to see this band called Alphabet city, which I call Alphabet soup.... lol somewhere on that sight they have some of their music posted. It is a little out there by my standards, but there were a lot of people at the Atlantic that night. Mike had a great idea, earplugs! Genious! The music was not bad, just different. Everyone got slightly tipsy, but I did not. I drank way too much last weekend!

Sunday was my catch up day as always! Homework, housework, laundry, grocery shopping... the usual. I did not get my house cleaned the way I like to on Sundays, but se la ve right.

that was friggin funny!

Have you ever heard of fried pickles? well they are really really good! It is something I came across in Alabama. Probably the only thing that went right the whole time I was there lol! Anywho last week at Gators Dockside they had them on the menu, so we got some! They even served them with ranch. I had never thought to eat them with ranch, even though I eat everything else with ranch.... anywho. Here is what they look like:

I have really good news. I qualify for my double major! I am totally stoked. I am going Wednesday to get the Psychology and Criminology Departments to sign off on my application, and that is it, I am a double major. I have to keep my GPA up but that should not be a problem.

I have other good news. I took my UAH handbook to the advisors office and he was able to transfer my out of state credits without making me go through this long petition process. It was really nice!

I have bad news: I have to take Chemistry. This is something I have managed to avoid since the 9th grade. I am not looking forward to it.

Other news: I have my first test in spanish on Thursday! I am not looking forward to it. I have been studying my butt off, and will continue to do so, but I am scared. I can't even spell in english, and they want me to do it in spanish? Are they crazy???? Estan Loco in la cabeza.

Thought for the day: People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you'll know exactly what to do. ~ Michelle Ventor

Factoid: Dismas and Gestas were the two thieves crucified with Jesus.

espanol: ojos= eyes, nariz = noze, and boca= mouth :)

That soapbox was hilarious! I love it, so true so true, well except for the constipation and hair loss :))
I am like a little girl at werewolf type movies, I feel like my heart will drop out and then I can't sleep without the light on, so I best not watch it lol, yah yah i'm wimpy.
I love the pics of you and James, sounds like you had a lovely time together and it looks like it too, that park looks gorgeous also.
Congratulations on the good news! YIPEE, but too bad about your bad :( Good luck on that test, and thanks for the free Spanish lessons on here ;)
